HISTORY
In the early years, the church was named Slap Chapel Baptist Church. At the recommendation of some members, the congregation unanimously approved the name change to Humber Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

The late Rev. J.B. Betts and Rev. E. T. Smith both served as pastors of this great church. In 1987 the Lord led Rev. Joe N. Williams to us. After the death of Rev. Smith, Rev. Williams was appointed Pastor. In 2003 Humber Chapel MB Church was blessed to have land donated to build a new church home. Under the leadership of Pastor Williams, Humber Chapel has experienced tremendous growth, spiritually, and a new vision in a new direction. On September 15, 2003, the members of Humber Chapel celebrated in the new church located in the town of Farrell.

The church's history has been rich for 109 years as of this year, but our future will be more prosperous as we keep trusting and depending on God where he leads us through our Pastor's vision.
